Mr Adams was well known in the town for owning the famous Kingsway Casino, The West End, Shorrocks Hill, and Toad Hall night clubs. Roy was also the last owner of the Cavern Club in Liverpool. He looked after doors and ran nightclubs, dance halls, restaurants and country clubs between 1957 and 1999. Roy, of Aughton, was the author of Hard Nights a great book: My Life In Liverpool Clubs. Roy's close friends and fellow night club owners Tony and Mike Coburn of the famous She Club, Leighton Court, The Hippodrome and Continental who also sadly died during Covid19.
