Alan Caldwell aka Rory Storm & the Hurricanes with Brian Casser, Duke Duval and Ringo was the city's most popular dance group, John Lennon was in awe of Rory's. Welcome Cass and the Casanova's this was a four-man group with Johnny Hutch who played "Jive" on the first floor in Alan Sytners Casanova Jazz Club this was above Waddys Temple Restaurant Dale Street later to become The Temple Bar, Charlies Bar, Daley's Dandelion.

Ray McFall then 32 years old purchased the original Cavern Club from Alan on the 1 October 1959 for £2750 the Cavern had its first beat night on 25 May 1960 featuring Cass & Cassanovas and Rory Storm and the Hurricanes.

Did you know it was Bob "BW" whilst standing at a Bus Stop with Nicky Crouch started discussing a new name for the "Ravens" Bob came up with Faron's Flamingos they recorded Let's Stomp, Do You Love Me. Later Faron joined the Big Three.
